Job Summary
A welcoming and community-focused primary school in Oxford is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to join its site team as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining a safe secure and well-presented learning environment for pupils staff and visitors.
The Role
As Caretaker you will:
Open and close the school site daily
Carry out routine maintenance minor repairs and general DIY tasks
Conduct regular health & safety checks including fire alarms and site inspections
Ensure the premises and grounds are clean safe and secure
Support contractors on site and assist with deliveries and event setup
You will work closely with the Headteacher and leadership team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school premises.

The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in a caretaker site assistant or maintenance role (school experience desirable)
Good practical DIY and maintenance skills
Understanding of basic health & safety procedures
Reliable organised and able to work independently
A proactive and professional approach
