We specialize in optimizing accounting processes automating workflows and driving strategic growth while minimizing tax obligations. The Opportunity
Reporting directly to our COO and Partner this role is a critical hire for our firms next stage of growth. Currently our COO is heavily involved in day-to-day client advisory. We are looking for a highly capable client-facingController(or a top-tier Senior Accountant/Bookkeeper ready to step into the Controller title) to take ownership of these client relationships.
A significant portion of our client base prefers to conduct business in their native language. Because our COO needs to step back from daily client involvement to focus on firm growthfluency in Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian is a strict requirement for this role.
What You Will Do

Client Ownership:Serve as the dedicated financial point of contact for a portfolio of business owners prioritizing genuine relationship-building and high-touch service.
Bilingual Advisory:Conduct client meetings and explain financial concepts month-end reports and accounting processes in Croatian Serbian or Bulgarian.
Full-Cycle Accounting:Manage advanced bookkeeping month-end close and controller-level financial reporting for clients (primarily in service-based industries).
Process Optimization:Identify ways to streamline client operations and automate workflows.
Strategic Transition:Work closely with the COO to smoothly transition legacy client relationships under your management.

What We Are Looking For

Language Requirement:Must be fluent (written and spoken) inCroatian Serbian or Bulgarian.
Accounting Expertise:Deep experience in full-cycle accounting senior bookkeeping or controllership. (Industry-agnostic is fine but experience with service-based businesses is highly preferred).
The Client-Facing Gene:You must be comfortable acting as a consultant. You are not just crunching numbers in the background; you are advising business owners. (An MBA or background in high-level client service is a huge plus).
Work Authorization:Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder residing in the United States. (We cannot offer sponsorship at this time).
Tech-Savvy:Familiarity with modern accounting stacks (e.g. Xero QuickBooks cloud-based ERPs) is ideal.
