Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified Colonial Childrens Academy (EEC) Lead Teacher for the school year. The Colonial Childrens Academy (EEC) Lead Teacher position will oversee all daily operations of the Colonial Childrens Academy. They will provide leadership in the integration of the Early Education and Teaching Program and the Colonial Childrens Academy. Possession of the MA Early Education and Care Directors Certification preferred. They must also have excellent knowledge of EEC regulations and Chapter 74 regulations for Early Education & Care. As part of the duties they will meet regularly with the Director of Career and Technical Education who will retain direct oversite of the Colonial Childrens is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.
Major Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operations of the CCA.
- Track inventory and order supplies when needed.
- Oversee and manage CCA budget.
- Oversee the CCA snack menu ordering and delivery schedule.
- Maintain & supervise daily sanitation organization and program safety.
- Oversee curriculum development and implementation in the CCA.
- Oversee and coordinate marketing efforts for the CCA.
- Work on development of brochures and/or flyers recruitment provide tours coordinate mailings oversee internet marketing schedule and organize Open Houses etc.
- Oversee the scheduling and integration of the EE&T program with the CCA which will also include scheduling field trips guest speakers and integration projects that may include the CCA.
- Be available from 7-7:40 am to assist/cover in the CCA as needed cover the afternoon shift 3-4 pm (on an emergency basis only)
- Mentor CCA staff and Minutemans student teachers.
- Assist in coordinating coverage for the CCA as needed.
- Coordinate communications with CCA staff EE&T staff and students CCA parents administration Minuteman Health Office and Special Education Department as needed.
- Assist with the CCA staff evaluations.
- Perform any other related task or duty at the direction of the Director of CTE or designee.
Qualifications:- Licensed as a Chapter 74 Instructor by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Early Education and Care preferred.
- Early Education and Care Director Certification preferred.
- MA Department of Early Education and Care Preschool Teacher Certification preferred.
- Knowledge of the Massachusetts Vocational Technical Curriculum Frameworks for Early Education and Care is required.
- Knowledge of the Early Education and Care regulations.
- Ability to work as part of a team to foster a positive working relationship with students and staff.
Additional Requirements:- This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.
Terms of Employment:Effective Dates of Employment:- This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year.
