Position Summary:Core content curriculumcreation implementation and delivery in the classroom
Position Responsibilities
Responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual physical and psychological growth
Creates and implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged inmeaningful learning experiences
Update and maintain all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws district policies and school regulations
Identifies selects and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds learning styles and special needs
Maintainsdiscipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school
Communicates effectively bothverballyand in writing with students parents and other professionals on a regular basis.
Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students parents peers and community.
Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group subject area and/or program classification.
Communicatesnecessary information regularly to students colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs
Adheres to all company policies procedures and business ethic codes
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge Skills and Ability
Bachelors Degree in relevant subject area
Strong classroom management skills required
Highly organized; flexible in meeting the needs of boarding students and their families;
Ability to create lesson plans to meet the needs of diverse student population
Technologically savvy
Preferred Skills
Masters degree in relevant subject area
Former student athlete
International education experience
Experience working with student athletes
NCAA Compliance experience
Bilingual
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to lift move push and pull equipment or boxes in excess of 40lbs.
Should be able to handle outdoor temperatures for a reasonable period of time.
Must be able to move around campus which includes gym turf fields etc.
Ability to work flexible hours to include nights weekends and holidays is required
