Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and consultations
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals
- Manage patient recovery and address any complications
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in anesthesiology practices
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge in anesthesiology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7a-5p
1 offsite weeknight call per week (5p-7a) 1 24-hour offsite weekend call per week
Annual Volume: 11-12k cases (includes ambulatory surgery center volumes)
Patient Population: Neonates & older
Cases: General ENT ortho uro plastics neurosurgery pulmonary ophthalmology dental/oral surgery - no cardiac
5 pediatric ORs cath lab 2 MRI GI CT scan IR and 2 ophthalmology
1:2 supervision of residents or CRNAs
EMR: Epic
Board-certification & fellowship required
Paid travel & lodging
Long-term assignment
