Data Governance & Protection Lead

As a Data Governance & Protection Lead you will: Support operate and enhance Microsoft Purview solutions including sensitivity labels DLP policies and auto-labeling Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Information Protection (MIP/AIP)related issues including Azure AD group assignments Handle DLP incidents policy tuning reporting and coordination with security operations teams Support user onboarding and coordinate deployments with infrastructure and endpoint teams Create operational and compliance reports using Power BI Automate routine tasks and workflows using Power Automate Participate in change management processes (CRs CAB/TAB) and ensure controlled rollouts Prepare and maintain operational documentation including SOPs test cases and support runbooks Collaborate with business compliance and security stakeholders to ensure adherence to data governance and regulatory requirements What You Bring to the Table: 68 years of experience in cybersecurity data privacy or information protection roles Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Purview MIP/AIP and Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Solid understanding of data classification sensitivity labeling and data governance controls Experience supporting compliance initiatives related to data privacy and software asset management (ITAM) Exposure to third-party DLP solutions such as Symantec DLP Zscaler or Digital Guardian (optional) Experience in reporting analytics and operational insights using Power BI Strong troubleshooting communication and documentation skills Relevant certifications such as SC-400 or SC-900 are preferred You Should Possess the Ability to: Lead operational support and enhancement of enterprise-scale data protection platforms Analyze and resolve complex data security incidents under tight timelines Translate regulatory and compliance requirements into enforceable technical controls Work independently with stakeholders across security compliance and IT operations Fine-tune DLP and labeling policies to balance security and business usability Drive automation and process efficiency in security operations Maintain high-quality documentation and knowledge artifacts Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences What We Bring to the Table: Opportunity to lead and support enterprise-wide data protection and compliance initiatives Hands-on exposure to Microsoft Purview and modern data governance platforms A role that blends technical depth operational leadership and compliance ownership Collaborative engagement with security infrastructure and business stakeholders Continuous learning in the areas of data privacy compliance and cloud security A structured environment emphasizing governance documentation and operational excellence Lets Connect Want to discuss this opportunity in more detail Feel free to reach out.
