This is a field-based role in Italy created to ensure strong coverage in the North-East region and continuity within our Flow application team.
WHAT YOULL DO (YOUR MISSION)
Youll be the scientific partner for researchers lab teams and clinical/translational groups using flow cytometry and cell sorting helping them move from interesting idea to robust reproducible results.
- Support evaluation journeys end-to-end: from early discussions to hands-on trials to successful adoption.
- Be a high-impact problem solver: troubleshoot staining panel design instrument setup sorting strategies and data interpretation with calm clarity and scientific rigor.
- Deliver presentations technical seminars product demonstrations and on-site trainings including support with data analysis and reporting.
- Follow up after installations/trainings to ensure strong onboarding and confident routine use.
- Partner closely with the local commercial organization to generate new opportunities support deal progression and drive adoption of the Flow reagents portfolio.
- Help keep Miltenyis presence strong in a strategically important region with the agility needed for upcoming launches and growing clinical activities (including Bone Marrow Transplantation).
WHERE YOULL WORK (TERRITORY & TEAM)
- Preferred home base: MilanPadovaBolognaVerona area to enable efficient support across North-East Italy.
- Youll join an Italian Flow set-up that includes Application Specialists based across Italy.
- Expect significant travel youll spend many days on the road in labs at sites and at events.

WHO YOU ARE (WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT FIT)
Scientific foundation
- Degree in life sciences (PhD preferred) or equivalent experience in immunology cell biology molecular biology biotechnology or related fields.
- Strong hands-on understanding of flow cytometry and/or cell sorting; you can speak confidently about experimental design and practical constraints.
Field mindset
- You love variety: different sites different challenges different people and you adapt fast without losing quality.
- Youre the person others call when something should work but doesnt and you enjoy finding the root cause.
- You communicate clearly and credibly from technician to PI.
- You work independently but youre genuinely collaborative you share knowledge build trust and care about outcomes.
Practical requirements
- Willingness to travel extensively
- valid driving license
