Job Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for capacity planning production planning material availability and production scheduling to support customer needs. This position works collaboratively with personnel from various departments to oversee daily production operations ensure supply chain efficiencies and monitor timelines.
Job Duties:
- Schedule production lines to meet changing monthly forecasts while managing inventory levels and schedules. Adjust production schedules according to current and emerging requirements.
- Responsible for raising the work orders and managing MRP messages providing operations with an efficient schedule.
- Manages all finished goods stocking policies and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with production managers to ensure optimum productivity and timely completion of orders.
- Determine raw materials needed to cover production demand.
- Ensure availability of engineering data to support the build schedule.
- Follow through as required with all departments to expedite flow of material and documents to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
Qualifications :
- Strong data analysis and ERP subject matter expert.
- Experience with and sound knowledge of manufacturing supply-chain planning and Lean methodology.
- Good level of IT understanding including use of common tools such as Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Personal Specification:
- Experience in inventory and material control within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail with a methodical and logical analytical approach.
