As a key member of the site leadership team the Engineering and Maintenance Manager provides strategic and operational leadership to the process engineering controls and maintenance departments. Your primary mission is to build organizational capability by leading developing and challenging your teams to exceed performance targets. You will drive process reliability advance site technology and champion continuous improvement initiatives that align with Avery Dennisons Enterprise Lean Sigma (ELS) standards.
Key activities include:
Leadership & Development: Attract retain and develop high-potential talent by providing regular feedback through the Global Performance Management System and creating clear development opportunities.
Operational Excellence: Design and implement strategies for safety quality and cost reduction. You will oversee the work order system spare parts inventory and preventative maintenance schedules to ensure equipment is in top working order with minimal downtime.
Financial Stewardship: Manage the department budget and the sites capital project portfolio ensuring all investments are executed on time and deliver expected financial results.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D Quality and Commercial teams to translate customer needs into technical requirements supporting new product qualifications and R&D trials.
Safety Leadership: Model and promote a safety-first culture ensuring all operations comply with legal and corporate EHS requirements.
Qualifications :
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in process engineering plant maintenance or engineering leadership within a complex manufacturing environment.
Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in electrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic systems including automation controls AC/DC drives and PLCs.
Leadership Skills: Proven ability to influence motivate and develop diverse teams while managing multiple high-priority projects concurrently.
Analytical Ability: Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills to identify trends and develop actionable plans.
Communication: Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical data to various levels of the organization.
Tools: Proficiency with Google Collaboration Tools Microsoft Office and technical software such as AutoCAD or Rockwell RS.
Preferred: Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) and experience with Total Predictive Maintenance (TPM) programs.

The salary range for this position is $119625 - $159500 / year.
The hiring base salary / wage rate range above represents what Avery Dennison reasonably expects to pay for this position as of the date of this posting. Actual salaries will vary within the range and in some circumstances may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to a candidates relevant skills experience education and training and location as well as the job scope and complexity responsibilities and regular and/or necessary travel required for the position which may change depending on the candidate pool.
