Job Summary
This role is responsible for performing month-end close process in compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements for our Independent Practice. Additionally this position assists with forecasting/budgeting audit requests and special projects related to Independent Practices as well as other accounting areas as needed.
What Would You Do The Specifics.
- Completes assigned month end closing procedures in an accurate efficient and timely manner.
- Prepares journal entries with sufficient support and in compliance with GAAP.
- Interfaces with other departments to research and obtain support for assigned accounts.
- Analyzes monthly doctor exchange revenues doctor exchange cost of sales and other expenses and prepares month-end presentation to our Independent Practice management team and internal stakeholders (i.e. Assistant Controller CAO CFO etc.).
- Prepares and participates in annual doctor exchange budgeting and forecasting including discussions with legal team to ensure compliance in all aspects of doctor exchange entities.
- Prepares balance sheet account reconciliation and variance analysis in Blackline as needed.
- Prepares schedules and support for SEC and tax teams internal and external audit and quarterly reviews.
- Prepares reviews and distributes assigned reports including budgets for doctor exchange entities
- Assists in writing new reports and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis as required.
- Manages and coaches direct reports including providing timely feedback and ensuring personal and professional.
- Assists in identifying inefficient processes and procedures and is proactive regarding communication cross functionally to implement best process and process improvements.
- Formally documents controls and processes in detail.
Qualifications :
Work Experience
- 7 years Progressive accounting experience (Required)
Education
- Four year college degree or equivalent experience in Accounting/Finance. (Required)
Licenses Certifications Professional Affiliations
- SOX CMA or CPA Upon Hire (Preferred)
Additional Skills
- Financial reporting systems experience. (Required)
- Strong understanding of GAAP requirements. (Required)
- Advanced spreadsheet and Oracle ERP experience. (Preferred)
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 BPC and Business Objects/Webi experience. (Preferred)
- Experience with Blackline Software (Preferred)
- Analytical thinker with the ability to conduct research data analysis and resolve complex problems quickly. (Required)
- Carefully monitors the details and quality of own and/or others work. (Required)
- Able to interpret concerns and able to work with a wide range of associates teams supervisors and senior managers. (Required)
- Effectively conveys information and ideas in concise and meaningful exchanges through written and verbal communication. (Required)
