Job Summary
What You Get To Do:
The DSP (caregiver)is responsible forproviding direct support hands-on instructionassistance and positive direction to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a manner that ensures their health safety successful achievement of serviceobjectives and personal goals.

Enrich and support the lives of our residents whilemaintaininga safe and healthy environment
Provide companionship and personalized care while encouraging independence and self-care.
Assistwith activities of daily living including dressing bathing grooming toileting and eating.
Prepare meals and snacks.
Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties.
Provide mobility and transferassistance which mayinclude usingmechanical lift devices.
Implement positive behavior supports and de-escalate challenging behaviors when needed.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications :
Previousexperience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilitiespreferred
Must be at least 18 years old
Able to attend two weeks of PAID in-house orientation and training
Have a passion to help others through person-centered care
Dependable adaptable and flexible
Goodcommunication is key in this on your reading writing andcommunication skills to document care follow support plans and collaborate with both internal and external team members.
