TIs legal department is seeking a talented Patent Attorney with a background in an area such as digital signal processors microcontrollers processor architecture wireless communication circuitry analog circuit design and/or semiconductor device manufacturing. As a Patent Attorney at TI you will immerse yourself in our cutting-edge technologies developing a thorough understanding that will enable you to create inventive patent strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting in-depth analysis of various technologies.
- Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in alignment with strategic goals.
- Collaborating with engineering teams to identify patentable inventions.
- Developing and maintaining a portfolio of patents in the designated area of expertise.
- Providing legal counsel on patent-related matters including infringement and licensing.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree with an active license to practice law
- 4 years of patent application drafting and prosecution experience
- Registration as a patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
- Admission in good standing with a state legal bar
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree preferred
- 3 years of experience as an engineer or scientist in a technical role
- Experience and familiarity with digital signal processors microcontrollers processor architecture wireless communication circuitry analog circuit design and/or semiconductor device manufacturing
