TIs legal department is seeking a talented Patent Attorney with a background in an area such as digital signal processors microcontrollers processor architecture wireless communication circuitry analog circuit design and/or semiconductor device manufacturing. As a Patent Attorney at TI you will immerse yourself in our cutting-edge technologies developing a thorough understanding that will enable you to create inventive patent strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting in-depth analysis of various technologies.
  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications in alignment with strategic goals.
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to identify patentable inventions.
  • Developing and maintaining a portfolio of patents in the designated area of expertise.
  • Providing legal counsel on patent-related matters including infringement and licensing.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree with an active license to practice law
  • 4 years of patent application drafting and prosecution experience
  • Registration as a patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
  • Admission in good standing with a state legal bar

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 3 years of experience as an engineer or scientist in a technical role
  • Experience and familiarity with digital signal processors microcontrollers processor architecture wireless communication circuitry analog circuit design and/or semiconductor device manufacturing
