Duties and responsibilities:
Cleaning Administration:
o Clean and sanitize all areas including offices counselling rooms waiting areas restrooms and common areas.
o Wash dishes daily and ensure sinks and kitchen surfaces are left clean and tidy.
o Ensure the waiting room is tidy with chairs properly arranged and handouts neatly displayed.
o Empty trash cans and dispose of waste appropriately.
o Sweep mop and vacuum floors.
o Dust and polish furniture and fittings.
o Clean windows glass partitions and mirrors.
o Restock supplies such as toilet paper soap and paper towels.
o Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Office Manager within Student Counselling and Development (SCD).
o Ensure all cleaning materials and equipment are used safely and stored correctly.
o Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
o Identify and report potential safety hazards.
Client interaction:
o Maintain a friendly and professional demeanour with students staff and visitors.
o Respond promptly to any cleaning requests or concerns raised by staff members.
o Provide support during departmental events by ensuring the areas are clean and presentable.
o Monitor cleaning supplies and report inventory levels to the Office Manager within SCD.
o Assist in ordering and restocking cleaning materials as needed.
o Work closely with the Office Manager and other cleaning staff to ensure all areas are maintained to the highest standards.
o Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
General Administration:
o Assist with basic administrative tasks such as shredding of documents and filing.
o Submit an inventory list of office supplies to the Office Manager of SCD.
o Assist with setting up meeting rooms including arranging furniture and equipment.
o Collection and delivery of mail and other materials as required.
o Ensuring that tea water and refreshments are served and provided to the management staff and at official meetings as requested.
Inherent requirements:
Grade 10 on NQF level 2 (attach proof).
Experience relating to the duties and responsibilities set out above.
Recommendations:
Grade 12 on NQF level 4.
One (1) year of experience in the relevant duties.
Speak English fluently (ability to understand read and write English).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to function with ease in a professional team.
Stay within Bloemfontein or in close vicinity of Bloemfontein.
Competency in an additional African language.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.

Salary:
The annual remuneration package including benefits is R 121 620.47 per annum depending on the budget available for the position relevant work experience and qualifications.
