JOB SUMMARY:
The Receiving III will be responsible for leading a team of 1 - 3 forklift drivers in receiving verifying count labeling palletizing and put away of incoming materials.ÂÂ
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving
â Ensures the count of incoming materials against the PO is correct.
â Verifies that the quality of incoming materials is acceptable.ÂÂ
â Signs bills of lading verifies shipper signature and retains the records.ÂÂ
â Enters receipts into the AS400 and Logimax inventory system.ÂÂ
â Prepares and prints labels for the team to affix to incoming materials.ÂÂ
â Instructs employees on how to palletize materials for warehouse storage (put away).ÂÂ
â Responsible for training the team on use of handheld scanners and wrist scanners.ÂÂ
â Reports any discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.ÂÂ
â Works with accounts payable as needed to reconcile any discrepancies.
SafetyÂ
â Responsible for confirming all Safety policies and procedures are being followed at all times.ÂÂ
â Ensures Safety trainings are completed on time and Forklift certifications are kept current.
Quality Control
â Inspects incoming materials for damage prior to receiving and put away.ÂÂ
â Notifies the Quality Control Department of any problems with materials and/or finished goods and coordinates the inspection of containers with the Quality Control department.ÂÂ
Lead and TrainÂ
â Leads a team of 1-3 people to complete the daily workload assigned by the Supervisor. This includes following all Safety policies and procedures completing receiving on time and reporting Quality issues.
â Responsible for training new hires in the day-to-day Receiving activities and forklift certifications.
â Notifies the supervisor of any attendance or discipline issues.Â
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
â High School Diploma or equivalent
â Four years of relevant experienceÂ
â Previous Forklift Operator experience is requiredÂ
â Valid driverâs license with no prior DUI or DWI convictions is required
â Ability to travel to off-site Warehouse in company vehicle
â Trustworthy in off-site warehouse able to conduct business as needed and lock up
â Intermediate computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
â Ability to frequently stand/walk
â Ability to frequently lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 pounds
â Ability to withstand prolonged periods sitting at a desk
â Frequent use of upper extremities to perform keyboard functions and work on a computer
