Engineering Intern – Operations & Maintenance

In the role of Engineering Intern Operations & Maintenance you will provide support in the development of design standards and operational procedures as well as engage in the development and execution of projects. Its an excellent job for students that want to learn more about the natural gas industry and eventually become a member of a team that builds owns and operates assets in this industry.

Placement Details:

This is an 3 month placement starting June 1st located in Houston TX.

What you will do:

• Assist the development of Maintenance and Operational Procedures that make sure we perform the right work consistently by editing existing documents into concise bullet point actions
• Support Subject Matter Experts in answering a constant stream of questions from folks throughout the organization.
• Be part of a team to support projects being developed designed and constructed.
• Work with Operating Regions to gather data to defend or support project decisions that may increase long term operating expenses.
• Help simplify and improve existing engineering design standards

Who you are:

• You are currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Engineering and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term.
• Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook).
• Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridges core values (Safety Integrity Respect Inclusion High Performance).
• Leader for a student organization preferred
• Real world / hands-on mechanical problem solving experience preferred (raised on a farm builds/repairs vehicles etc.)

Working Conditions:

• Office based role located in Houston TX.
• Relocation assistance is not provided.
