Job Summary
An inspiring and forward-thinking secondary school in Bristol is seeking an exceptional Head of Art to lead and further develop a vibrant and successful Art department from April.
This is a fantastic leadership opportunity for an experienced Art specialist who is passionate about creativity curriculum innovation and raising standards across all key stages.
The Role
As Head of Art you will:
Lead and shape the strategic direction of Art across KS3 & KS4 with potential KS5 provision
Drive high standards of teaching learning and assessment within the department
Develop an ambitious and engaging curriculum that promotes creativity and technical skill
Support mentor and develop departmental staff
Champion enrichment opportunities including exhibitions competitions and cross-curricular projects
You will maintain a teaching timetable and model outstanding classroom practice.

The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher with QTS (or equivalent)
Strong subject knowledge across Art & Design
Experience teaching to KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Proven leadership experience or readiness to step into a Head of Department role
