The Role:
The Data Manager is a critical role within the schools operational and academic landscape. You will be responsible for the collection management analysis and reporting of key student data across all year groups ensuring that information is accurate secure and readily accessible to staff. Your work will directly support teaching learning behaviour monitoring safeguarding curriculum planning and evaluation of school performance.
Daily responsibilities include maintaining the schools management information system (MIS) producing regular progress reports analysing assessments updating attendance and behaviour dashboards preparing datasets for meetings and supporting staff with the interpretation of data. You will be expected to provide clear concise and meaningful reports to senior leaders heads of department governors and external agencies where required.
Throughout the academic year you will support key processes such as progress checks tracking cycles target-setting timetabling adjustments and data entry for internal and external assessments. You will also collaborate closely with the Exams Officer during exam seasons supporting data accuracy for entries access arrangements seating results and certification processes.
Requirements:
Strong experience working with data ideally in a school or educational setting
Excellent ICT skills with experience in MIS platforms (SIMS Arbor iSAMS or similar)
Ability to analyse and present complex information clearly
High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines
Understanding of GDPR and safeguarding in relation to data
Proactive reliable and confident in communicating with staff at all levels
