**THIS IS A WEEKEND SHIFT POSITION FRIDAY - SUNDAY (6:00AM - 6:30PM)** All Weekend Shift employees are considered full time.
As a Quality CMM Technician for General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) Precision Structures & Optics (PSO) youll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure that all machined parts meet stringent quality and precision standards. This role requires a strong understanding of metrology blueprints and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). The Quality CMM Technician performs overall quality inspection for machined parts to ensure they meet the companys quality standards for the manufacture of Beryllium products for use in the most demanding applications across the aerospace defense and nuclear industries. Our products are used in high performance sensing systems for targeting and acquisition surveillance and reconnaissance missions and are hardened for the battlefield environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate CMM equipment to perform precise measurements of machined parts
Program CMM machines using appropriate software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso)
Interpret engineering drawings blueprints and GD&T symbols to determine measurement requirements
Conduct first article inspections in-process inspections and final inspections to verify product compliance
Document and report inspection results including any deviations or non-conformances
Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve quality issues
Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality standards
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g. PC-DMIS Calypso)
Strong understanding of metrology engineering drawings and GD&T
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and documentation skills
Knowledge of ISO 9001 AS9100 or other relevant quality standards is a plus

Basic Qualifications
Associates degree in a related field or the equivalent is addition a minimum of 3 years of directly related experience is required. J-STD001 002 IPC 610 MIL-STD-883 MIL-STD-750 and X-Ray qualification certifications may be required.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities U.S. citizenship is required.
