We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at our Analytics & Survey Development team. This role will be based in Düsseldorf Hamburg or Frankfurt am Main.
You will be an integral part of our Analytics & Survey Development team contributing to the design execution and continuous improvement of Mercers compensation and workforce surveys. You will work closely with the Senior Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of data quality methodological rigor and innovative survey solutions. You will also pilot and evaluate emerging AI and machine learning techniques to improve data quality accelerate insight generation and enhance internal survey production processes while ensuring AI and analytics applications comply with Mercers data privacy security and governance standards. This role offers a unique opportunity to deepen your expertise in survey methodology data analytics and compensation benchmarking while supporting Mercers position as a market leader in Germany and Europe.
We will count on you to:
Assist in the design development and enhancement of Mercers survey methodologies ensuring alignment with industry best practices and client needs.
Support the collection validation and analysis of survey data maintaining accuracy consistency and relevance across multiple compensation and workforce surveys.
Apply AI-assisted techniques to improve data quality (e.g. anomaly detection automated validation checks classification and standardization) and document methodologies transparently.
Collaborate with the Survey Production team Rewards community and Corporate Governance advisors to integrate new survey acquisitions and harmonize data processes.
Conduct detailed data analyses and develop innovative perspectives to enhance the value and insights derived from survey results.
Engage with survey participants and clients to provide expert support during data collection feedback sessions and benchmarking projects.
Prepare and present clear actionable reports and recommendations (incl. AI-supported drafting with human review & validation) to clients and internal stakeholders supporting strategic decision-making.
Contribute to thought leadership initiatives by researching emerging trends developing new analytical approaches and sharing knowledge within the team.
Foster a culture of collaboration continuous learning and innovation within the survey team and broader Rewards community.
What you need to have:
Strong foundation in quantitative analysis survey methodology and data management ideally supported by a Masters degree in economics statistics finance psychology or related fields.
Proficiency with MS Excel.
Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics and automation (e.g. using approved GenAI tools for coding support data preparation summarization and insight drafting) and ability to validate outputs critically.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets & translate findings into strategic insights.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams clients and survey participants.
Proactive detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Excellent English and strong German language skills (verbal and written).
What makes you stand out
Prior experience or internships in consulting market research or compensation analytics or data/analytics roles are advantageous.
Experience or strong interest in compensation surveys benchmarking and workforce data analytics.
Working experience with SQL and R and/or Python is advantageous.
