We are looking for a Project Director for HVDC to spearhead the execution and timely delivery of largescale electrical transmission and distribution projects within the framework of a large Program of offshore HVDC Projects across multiple countries in Northern Europe.

As the Project Director you will provide leadership strategic vision and direction to the HVDC Projects to ensure that the strategies and objectives alongside the forecast and financial management are developed and achieved through its operations.
You will be responsible for the overall operational management of HVDC Projects within a large scale Program. The HVDC team provides solutions which help enhance the safety reliability and efficiency of power networks while minimizing environmental impact. The Project Director is responsible for the successful conclusion of EPC projects.
How youll make an impact:
Lead the execution of multi-million-dollar EPC mega-projects ensuring on-time and on budget completion.
Coordinate and align with other Project Directors under the overall leadership of the Program Director shaping the execution strategy and sharing goals
Provide strong supportive leadership for a large global and diverse team including project managers and other specialists
Foster a culture of safety prioritizing health and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Proactively manage change assess risks and opportunities and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Take full ownership of project P&L leading budget planning and execution.
Build strong relationships effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders including clients subcontractors and business partners.
Supporting the making of strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to project managers to implement those decisions Meeting with clients stakeholder and Project Managers to report on project progress
Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships
Devising cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion Responsible for the overall Project Execution.
Ensure the project follows and complies with company health safety and environmental policies.
Your background and skills:
Bachelors or Master of Science degree preferably in Electrical Engineering.
Excellent fluency in written and spoken English.
Proven track record of delivering large-scale EPC/turnkey projects in power energy industrial infrastructure or oil & gas sectors.
Proven experience as a Project director in similar environments to ourswith at least 10-15 years in the position
Experience in power generation transmission & distribution or power conversion (HVDC substations etc.) is a plus.
Strong communication skills effectively managing client relationships and subcontractor interactions.
Strong collaboration and integration skills effectively contributing and partnering with the other Project and Program management teams
Understand and implement risk assessments method statements and project methodologies (PMP/PMI certification a plus).
Possess the ability to analyze complex contracts and navigate local project regulations.
Maintains a high level of stress-resilience and demonstrates flexibility creativity and the ability to adapt to unforeseen situations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and motivate colleagues at all levels towards the project objectives
