Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified FFA Advisor for the school year. This is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.
Major Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Director of Career and Technical Education regarding any FFA club activities.
- Recruit students to participate in the FFA club.
- Generate ideas for fundraising activities and community service projects.
- Provide pertinent information to student club members of FFA projects.
- Create monthly meeting agenda and discuss current and future events and recruitment efforts.
- Coordinate with other chapters to provide yearly training to officers and leaders.
- Assist aspiring officers with election speeches and appropriate changing of the guard activities.
- Order any needed supplies for fund raising activities.
- Prepare morning announcements for activities and fundraisers.
- Schedule meetings for convention discussions and competitions.
- Schedule practice presentations.
- Review any scheduling information for FFA convention.
- Submit any fundraising information to business office.
- Complete an approved Program of Work.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Self-motivated; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experienced in developing and providing training opportunities for FFA students.
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing in person through email and on the telephone.
- Experience working with Future Farmers of America organization.
Additional Requirements:- This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.
Terms of Employment:Effective Dates of Employment:- This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year.
- The person who fills this position will be the contact for any relevant and important information prior to the start of the school year.
Supervisor:- Director of Career and Technical Education.
Compensation:- The total stipend for this position is $6493 for the entire assignment.
