Job Summary

Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified FFA Advisor for the school year. This is a stipend position with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.Major Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Director of Career and Technical Education regarding any FFA club activities.
Recruit students to participate in the FFA club.
Generate ideas for fundraising activities and community service projects.
Provide pertinent information to student club members of FFA projects.
Create monthly meeting agenda and discuss current and future events and recruitment efforts.
Coordinate with other chapters to provide yearly training to officers and leaders.
Assist aspiring officers with election speeches and appropriate changing of the guard activities.
Order any needed supplies for fund raising activities.
Prepare morning announcements for activities and fundraisers.
Schedule meetings for convention discussions and competitions.
Schedule practice presentations.
Review any scheduling information for FFA convention.
Submit any fundraising information to business office.
Complete an approved Program of Work.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Self-motivated; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Experienced in developing and providing training opportunities for FFA students.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing in person through email and on the telephone.
Experience working with Future Farmers of America organization.

Additional Requirements:

This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public walking around the school standing for periods occasionally lifting and carrying items reading documents using a computer listening and speaking using office equipment maintaining energy throughout the day and handling stress effectively.

Terms of Employment:

Stipend Position.

Effective Dates of Employment:

This is a stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year.
The person who fills this position will be the contact for any relevant and important information prior to the start of the school year.

Supervisor:

Director of Career and Technical Education.

Compensation:

The total stipend for this position is $6493 for the entire assignment.
