ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams supporting production operations with a strong emphasis on production test systems new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing performance.
This is a working leader roleyou will guide the team while staying close to the production floor actively supporting troubleshooting test strategy and process improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Production Test Leadership
- Lead development improvement and support of:
- Functional test systems
- In-circuit test (ICT)
- System-level testing
- Partner with Test Engineering to improve:
- Test coverage
- First-pass yield (FPY)
- Diagnostic capability
- Drive continuous improvement in test processes to reduce escapes and increase efficiency
NPI & Production Ramp
- Lead engineering support for new product introductions (NPI)
- Partner with design engineering on DFM/DFT to ensure production readiness
- Support early builds troubleshoot issues and stabilize production
- Improve ramp speed yield and overall launch success
Manufacturing Engineering & Operations Support
- Lead Manufacturing Engineering team supporting:
- SMT and assembly processes
- Workflow optimization
- Process improvements
- Partner closely with Production Quality and Supply Chain to resolve issues quickly
- Drive improvements in:
- Throughput
- Efficiency
- Quality
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Test and NPI Engineers
- Provide hands-on coaching technical guidance and support
- Foster a collaborative accountable and solutions-focused team environment
Continuous Improvement & Data-Driven Decisions
- Analyze production and test data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Lead initiatives that improve:
- Yield
- Equipment performance
- Process consistency
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 8 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or similar environment
- 3 years of experience leading engineering teams
- Strong experience with:
- Production test systems (functional ICT or system-level)
- New product introduction (NPI)
- Manufacturing process support
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience in a production environment
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred:
- Experience in EMS (contract manufacturing)
- Familiarity with SMT PCBA and high-mix manufacturing
- Experience with MES (e.g. FactoryLogix) or ERP systems
- Background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma)

- Work is performed primarily on-site within an electronics manufacturing facility.
- Regular interaction with engineering teams production personnel technicians and maintenance staff.
- Frequent presence on the production floor toobserveprocesses troubleshoot issues and support engineering teams.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts automated manufacturing equipment and SMT production lines.
- Moderate noise levels consistent with a high-mix electronics manufacturing environment.
- Occasional exposure to fumes soldering operations cleaning chemicals and airborne particles associated with electronic assembly processes.
- Work involves a combination of office-based engineering work and time spent on the manufacturing floor.
- Use of computers engineering tools and manufacturing systems for analysis documentation and process development.
- Occasional interaction with equipment vendors contractors and service technicians supporting production equipment.
- May require limited travel for training vendor support or equipment evaluation.
