Job Description
Shipping Coordinator
Shift: 6:00 PM 6:00 AM
Schedule: 2-2-3 rotation (work 2 days off 2 days work 3 days)
Lift Requirement: Up to 50 lbs
License: Forklift certification required (or ability to obtain)
We are hiring a Shipping Coordinator to manage outbound freight shipping documentation and system transactions in a manufacturing environment. You will coordinate daily shipments process receiving paperwork and work directly with Transportation Customer Service and Supply Chain to ensure same-day shipping when required.
This is a 12-hour night shift role.
What Youll Do
Schedule daily freight pick-ups with carriers
Track shipment status and communicate updates to Customer Service and internal teams
Generate shipping documents: Bill of Lading packing lists sales orders transfer orders vendor returns
Process shipping and receiving transactions in Oracle TMS and related systems
Verify receipts and material entries in Oracle
Coordinate same-day shipments with Supply Chain
Ensure proper labeling and documentation accuracy (100% match before shipment release)
Process and close all receiving paperwork
Participate in daily problem-solving and continuous improvement meetings
Follow OSHA and site safety procedures at all times
Support production by ensuring materials move without delay
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Qualifications
What You Bring
High School Diploma or GED
13 years in manufacturing warehouse or distribution
Experience using ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
Experience with shipping/receiving transactions in a computer-based system
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Forklift license (or ability to obtain)
Availability for overtime with short notice
Ability to work independently during 12-hour shifts
