Lake Technical College is looking for a knowledgeable driven professional to serve as an HVAC Instructor who is an industry expert ready to pass on hands-on experience mentor adult learners and prepare students with job-ready technical skills. This full time position is for the new Lake Technical College-South Campus in Clermont Florida.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instruction in technical theory and hands-on skills relevant to the program area
• Facilitate lab-based competency-driven learning using industry-standard tools and equipment
• Develop lesson plans assessments and instructional materials aligned with program outcomes
• Evaluate student performance and provide timely constructive feedback
• Maintain a safe organized and OSHA-compliant classroom and lab environment
• Integrate employability skills such as professionalism communication teamwork and safety
• Stay current with industry standards technologies and best practices
• Support program accreditation documentation and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

• At least five years professional experience in the field
• Appropriate certifications and/or industry credentials
• Prior teaching training or mentoring experience preferred
• Strong communication organization and supervisory skills
• Commitment to student success workforce readiness and lifelong learning
