Job Description
As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol in Leesburg FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas conduct routine rounds stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and support patients visitors and staff with professional customer service and clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and/or staff by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures access control requirements and when appropriate emergency response activities.
- Patrol hospital buildings parking areas and perimeter locations on a regular and random basis to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards unusual conditions and policy violations.
- Respond to incidents alarms and/or calls for assistance in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalating conflicts and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local law enforcement as needed.
- Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements post orders and use of force guidelines; complete required checks and documentation.
- Document patrols incidents and/or other security-related activities in written reports and electronic systems and communicate key information during shift briefings and handoffs.
Minimum Requirements:
- X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
