Under direction of the PI and CO-Is the project coordinator will assist in a research project on exploring integrated midwifery education. The project coordinator will support logistics and communication for the project including organizing meetings and travel for research team conducting outreach to stakeholders supporting data management and other support for the overall conduct of the study.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Ownership of Policy and Protocol Development (60%)

  • Lead the creation and implementation of project policies protocols and procedures in collaboration with the research team.
  • Oversee and refine research questions for interviews and listening sessions to ensure alignment with study objectives.
  • Manage the collection and organization of participant responses ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Direct the organization and management of interview transcripts notes and other project data.
  • Maintain participant engagement and oversee follow-ups as needed.

Strategic Coordination of Research Activities (20%)

  • Design and manage the scheduling logistics and execution of listening sessions interviews and consortia.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of research consortiums in years 1 and 3 ensuring effective stakeholder participation.
  • Coordinate researcher schedules balancing competing priorities and ensuring timely progress of project deliverables.

Budget Management and Financial Oversight (20%)

  • Take responsibility for tracking and managing the research budget ensuring alignment with project needs and compliance with funding requirements.
  • Oversee the processing and distribution of participant honoraria/gift cards maintaining detailed financial records.
  • Provide periodic budgetary updates and financial forecasts to the research team proactively addressing any discrepancies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field and one year of relevant experience.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements such as a license certification and/or registration.

Additional Requirements:

  • Expertise in midwifery profession Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) knowledge and/or training
  • Knowledge base in reproductive healthcare particularly around pregnancy/birth/postpartum periods
  • Highly professional excellent time management self-direction and outstanding organization skills
  • Knowledge of and appreciation for community-based participatory principles
  • Proficient in using personal computer (i.e. MS Office MS Excel MS PowerPoint)
  • Be available evenings and weekends occasionally as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience and/or expertise working with a Reproductive Justice framework
  • Expertise and/or experience partnering with communities

Conditions of Employment

  • Occasional state and national travel required
  • Occasional evening and weekend work required
  • Exact schedule and hours are flexible and will be arranged with research team.

Pay Range Minimum:

$74400.00 annual
