Coffeyville Regional Medical Center or CRMC is a 25-bed non-profit critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. The Buyer/Receiving Clerk manages procurement of all supplies minor equipment and services for the hospital and its clinics. S/he will assure optimum cost efficiencies and appropriate inventory and stock quantities for successful hospital and clinic operations

JOB DUTIES:

• Create orders verify pricing and ascertain product availability
• Work with specialty vendors complex delivery schedules and urgent requests
• Research backorders and locate substitute products as necessary
• Monitor purchase requests for contract compliance ordering patterns and assist in supply cost management including GPO
• Research products for purchasing options meeting purposed requirements and problem solve as necessary
• Assure proper inventory of stocked items within the hospital and clinics
• Monitor usage and inventory levels assuring proper stock revolution to maximize use of supplies prior to expirations as applicable
• Receive and validate orders delivered for proper quantity and condition
• Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy
  

The Buyer/Receiving Clerk assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask
• Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds as well as stand walk talk hear sit; reach with arms hands and fingers to handle and feel; climb or balance; stoop kneel crouch or crawl; taste and smell as demonstrated by the pre-employment physical administered by CRMC at offer required
  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• H.S. Diploma G.E.D. or equivalent work experience in field required
• 1-2 years healthcare materials management stock room or inventory experience preferred
