Job Summary
We are seeking a senior DevOps and Data Platform Engineer to work remotely from anywhere in the US with 8 years of progressive experience designing administering and optimizing enterprise data and analytics environments. This individual brings deep hands-on expertise in DevOps practices including Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK and Terraform and has strong experience supporting AWS and Databricks platforms in production environments. They possess proven administration experience with Cognos and Tableau along with solid Windows and Linux system administration skills. The candidate demonstrates practical knowledge of DBT high-availability architectures clustered systems and load-balanced environments ensuring reliability scalability and performance of data platforms. Ideally they have experience supporting higher education or large enterprise environments understand enterprise identity management and security compliance frameworks and have a track record of mentoring junior engineers while contributing to technical leadership. A bachelors degree in a related technical field (or equivalent experience) is expected along with the ability to operate effectively in complex mission-critical environments.
Requirements
310 years of general DevOps engineering experience
2-4 years of experience administering Cognos environments
24 years of Tableau administration experience
2-4 years of Windows and Linux system administration experience
24 years of hands-on experience with AWS and Databricks
24 years of experience using Infrastructure as Code tools specifically AWS CDK and Terraform
23 years of experience with DBT (Data Build Tool)
Demonstrated experience supporting clustered applications high-availability architectures and load-balanced environments
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology Engineering or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Experience supporting higher education or large enterprise data platforms
Familiarity with enterprise identity management security frameworks and compliance standards
Experience mentoring or providing technical leadership to junior engineers
