Turner Industries Group LLC has an opening for a Sandblaster/Industrial Painter to join our Team in the Decatur AL area. The Sandblaster/Painter will be responsible for performing surface preparation per specification to achieve proper adhesion on asset and applies protective coating on asset to achieve corrosion prevention identification hazard recognition product purity etc.

Essential Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent
• Preferred experience with industrial coatings operations and best practices
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
• Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven long sleeves steel toe boots etc.)
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat safety glasses gloves respirator hearing protection safety harness with lanyard etc.)
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace

Functional Requirements:

• Performs surface preparation per specification to provide proper adhesion of material
• Utilizes various methods for surface preparation including but not limited to solvent hand tools power tools pressurized water jet abrasive blast cleaning etc.
• Applies protective coatings to customer assets for corrosion prevention identification hazard recognition product purity etc.
• Utilizes various methods including brush/roll conventional spray single/plural component airless spray hand trowel thermal spray aluminum etc.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisors direction

Compensation:

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:

May be required to do the following: climbing ladders scaffolds structures etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders scaffolds structures etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level waist level and/or overhead; carrying objects tools equipment etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment
