Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. The successful candidate is expected to report to their assigned GM worksite five days per week and to respond to the site in the event of an emergency after hours on weekend or holidays.

The Role:

At Romulus Propulsion Systems the Quality Manager plays a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest regulatory and customer standards while drivinglong termstrategic vision for quality this position you will lead a small team dedicated to auditing and strengthening our technical processesensuringwe not onlymaintaincompliance but proactively shape the future of our quality systems. This role requires strong initiative sound decision-making and the ability to multitask plan and organize position is a Staff level role where you will be a key part of the leadership team responsible for deliveringscorecard results in GMs Performance Driven will work closely withcross functionalpartnersfosteringcollaborationandaligningquality strategies across the entire plant.

What Youll Do:

  • Manage the Quality teamat Romulus Propulsionfosteringcollaboration inclusion and shared accountability.
  • Lead efforts to transform the culture within Quality promoting teamwork engagement transparency and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Partner withProductionEngineeringand union representatives to address and resolvequalityissues.
  • Partner withUnionto effectively resolve workforce issues.
  • Providecross functionalguidance and support for all product launches withinRomulus Propulsion Systems.
  • Serve as the process owner for Export & GCA (Global Customer Audit) ensuring customer expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Lead and represent the plant through all external audits ensuringa high levelof customer confidence.
  • Maintain Trace scorecard compliance and ensure timely accurate communication of results.
  • Champion BPD activities BIQ IV meetingsandcross functionalproblem solvingprocesses.
  • Strong cost council champion witha track recordofidentifyingand implementing cost reduction and efficiency opportunities.
  • Implement Continuous Improvement (CIP) workshops focused on enhancing Quality and Cost performance.
  • Manage spill tracking and document retention processes to support robust problem solving and recurrence prevention.
  • Develop and strengthen abroad bench of talent within the Quality function to supportfuture business needs.
  • Provide Planning and Business Manager coverage for the Quality organization anticipatinglong termneeds.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of ISO standards and government regulatory requirements to ensure proactive compliance.
  • Maintain safety standards through regular audits observations and thorough incident investigations.
  • Manage departmental budgets andleadefficiency improvement initiatives.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelors degree in Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 7 years ofhigh volumemanufacturing experience;GPSand/or machining experience preferred
  • Launch experience desired
  • 5 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive knowledge of quality management systems within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of quality control procedures manufacturing processes and management systems related to productionoperations.
  • High-levelproblem solvingskills (RedXMaster preferredOpEx Six Sigma) and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively withcross functionalpartners
  • Technicalproficiencywith Microsoft Office and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP)

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Proventrack recordof increasing employee engagement and strengthening team capability.
  • Multi-plantexperienceis stronglypreferred.
  • Strong understanding of GPS GMS and BIQ systems with the ability toleveragethese tools to improve quality and operational performance.
  • Demonstrated success leading GMS Calibration activities.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain strong relationships with internal customers (plants) andcross functionalpartners.
