Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Incident Patrol in Charlotte NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions and more. You will conduct routine patrols stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and respond to alarms and service calls with calm clear communication. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Carry and maintain required firearm and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements Allied Universal policies and post orders; maintain professional presence and clear communication with staff and visitors.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including alarms suspicious activity access concerns and medical emergencies; coordinate with law enforcement and/or emergency services when needed.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas exterior grounds parking areas ATM or vestibule areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
- Complete required patrol logs incident reports and shift documentation; report maintenance hazards access control issues and/or policy violations through approved channels.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement military and/or security-related experience or have a college degree.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
