Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Response in Raleigh NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and respond to concerns with clear communication and professional judgment. You will support staff and visitors with customer service while documenting observations and partnering with local teams. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff visitors and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
- Perform armed patrol duties maintaining control of issued equipment according to post orders and reporting any irregularities to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including de-escalation support radio communications and coordination with on-site personnel and/or local responders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings grounds and perimeter areas including checks of gates doors and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited activity.
- Complete required documentation such as patrol logs incident reports and shift activity reports and assist with controlled access screening and authorized escorts as directed by post orders.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be 21 years of age.
- Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
