As a Security Officer - Transit Hub Patrol in Ashburn VA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and data center location you will conduct routine patrols stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents and support access control and incident reporting. You will deliver standout customer service and clear communication while working with a team that is agile reliable and innovative. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a high-tech data center location by following post orders site-specific policies and security-related procedures and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of building interiors equipment areas loading and dock zones and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and control entry by checking credentials logging visitors and/or vendors issuing temporary badges and directing individuals to the proper contacts in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including alarms unauthorized access attempts and/or disturbances and communicate updates to appropriate site contacts.
• Complete detailed reports and logs for patrol activity incidents and maintenance concerns and coordinate with site teams and/or public responders as directed by post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required as requested by the client.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
