Job Summary
E-Logic is seeking a highly motivated Information Technology Equipment Specialist to support the 99th Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) at Nellis Air Force Base. This role focuses on full lifecycle management of IT equipment asset accountability configuration deployment inventory control and compliance with Department of Defense and Air Force standards. The specialist will manage IT assets supporting over 650 users across classified and unclassified environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage receipt tracking labeling and accountability of IT equipment as the Information Technology Asset Manager (ITAM)
- Maintain inventory records for desktops laptops tablets printers scanners VOIP phones and mobile devices
- Ensure all accountable and pilferable assets are properly labeled and documented
- Track equipment by location assignment status and lifecycle stage
- Maintain storage control of unassigned or decommissioned assets
- Conduct annual inventories and support audits or inspections
- Configure and prepare equipment for operational use
- Coordinate deployment replacement upgrades and refresh cycles
- Identify obsolete or excess equipment for disposal
- Coordinate decommissioning and transfer to DRMO/PBO as required
- Ensure data sanitization of storage devices in accordance with DoD standards
- Maintain official inventory documentation and appointment letters
- Support base equipment accountability programs
- Ensure compliance with Air Force policies and ITAM requirements
- Provide equipment reports and recommendations to leadership
- Assist in planning procurement needs for future fiscal years
- Install and maintain peripheral devices including printers monitors and scanners
- Support handheld devices such as smartphones and tablets
- Assist with device connectivity to network infrastructure
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- CompTIA Security certification (IAT Level II)
- Minimum 3 years of IT equipment or asset management experience
- Knowledge of hardware lifecycle management processes
- Experience maintaining inventories in controlled environments
- Familiarity with DoD or federal IT accountability procedures
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Prior experience supporting U.S. Air Force or DoD environments
- Experience with property accountability systems
- Experience supporting inspections or compliance audits
