Job Description
As a Security Officer - Part-Time Armed Patrol in Queens NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to the public and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations platforms entrances parking areas and perimeter areas; remain alert for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter prohibited behavior.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including disturbances medical calls and/or suspicious items; request assistance from law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
- Carry and maintain authorized firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements post orders and Allied Universal policies; follow all use of force guidelines and complete required training and/or qualifications.
- Complete detailed reports and logs preserve incident information and evidence when appropriate and communicate professionally with site management local authorities and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
- An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
