Job Description
As a Security Officer - NYS Licensed Rounds Rover in Lower Manhattanyou will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a commercial real estate location you will monitor key areas conduct routine foot patrols and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control respond to concerns and deliver a customer-first experience through clear communication and professional presence. What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to tenants visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas including lobbies corridors stairwells parking areas loading areas and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity for unusual or suspicious behavior reporting concerns per post orders and escalating as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including addressing disturbances assisting with evacuations as directed and coordinating with local emergency services when required.
- Complete detailed incident reports patrol logs and shift documentation and communicate site conditions and maintenance hazards to property management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
- Be 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
