RN / Registered Nurse Emergency Center

Our team is searching for a dynamic full-time Registered Nurse to join the interdisciplinary team performing patient care at our Emergency Center Northeast.

The Tallahassee Memorial Emergency Center - Northeastis a state of the artthree story freestanding Emergency Center which houses 36 beds and is designed to take care for all emergent healthcare needs while providing an exceptional patient and family experience. The Emergency Center - Northeast is equipped to stabilize any emergency and built with special consideration for both our pediatric and geriatric patients and their families. This facility was designed with our community in mind and is conveniently located with ample parking. The Emergency Center - Northeast operates as part of the TMH Emergency Service Line.

The Registered Clinical Nurse (RN) is fundamental in achieving recognized world-class health care. Assumes direct and indirect responsibility for the patients care environment. The primary responsibility is providing care through collaboration with health care team members and the autonomous application of the nursing process. Also provides leadership mentoring and role modeling for other members of the health care team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to coordination and delegation of care in a safe secure and clean environment. Care provided displays respect for the patients rights dignity values confidentiality and expressed needs. Adaptable using evidenced based practice and information technologies while maintaining focus on providing comfort relieving pain and alleviating anxiety.

Supervises:

Nurse Extern Graduate/Licensed Practical Nurse Nursing Technician/Specialty Technician Unit Secretary Patient Care Assistant

WHAT YOULL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

  • Associates in Nursing
  • Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Nursing

Required Experience:

  • No previous experience required
  • Preferred: 2-5 years experience as RN

Required Certification/License/Registry:

  • Current license to practice as an RN in Florida
  • Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation(CPR) certification from an accredited instructor from the American Heart Association (AHA) and/or other specialized life support requirements designated by work area
