Job Summary

Des Moines Register/ part of the USA TODAY NETWORKseeks a videographer/photographer to join our talented staff in Iowas capital city. This journalist should have an interest in telling stories with video from spot news to mini-documentaries and social media clips. They should also be versed in making still photos that tell stories from sports fields Iowans homes and political rallies. They will also play a key role in training members of our newsroom on video and will track and adopt evolving best person will join a team of four photojournalists in Iowa including a photo editor who is a veteran journalist and spends more time making photos than holding meetings. The successful candidate must have a passion for telling stories visually quickly when needed in-depth when called for and always with expect anyone who works with us to constantly improve their skills.
