As a Security Officer - Unarmed Beat Patrol in Brooklyn NY you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech media and/or telecom location you will monitor assigned areas conduct routine foot patrols and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control by verifying badges and visitor credentials document observations and communicate clearly with site staff and your Allied Universal team. What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location including interior spaces common areas and perimeter routes documenting observations and noting conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor alarms cameras and other building systems when assigned and report suspicious behavior maintenance concerns and policy violations through the established chain of communication.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner providing assistance contacting appropriate responders and completing required notifications.
• Complete shift activity reports and incident documentation and support access control tasks such as checking identification managing visitor entry and directing foot traffic according to site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Hold a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
