Job Summary

The Department of Emergency Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of public health focused on community-engaged research and implementation science and interventions to reduce interpersonal violence. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include collaborating and developing the candidates expertise in implementation science and community engaged while contributing to research efforts on additional projects related to emergency care trauma violence injury prevention and reduction in health disparities. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty and trainees in the department and collaborating programs.

The successful applicant will have a solid background in public health community based participatory research (CBPR) and capacity building with community organizations to partner with academics in research. Experience in developing and applying methods in community-based research is required including a record of publication and successful attainment of extramural funding demonstrating the candidates ability to contribute substantially to a research program.
