Job Description
As a Security Officer - Neighborhood Patrol Driver in Birmingham AL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed driving Patrol Officer supporting a busy healthcare location. You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related concerns assist staff patients and visitors with courteous service and document observations using site technology. You will communicate clearly respond to calls for assistance and work as part of an agile reliable innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to patients visitors and/or staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures site-specific policies and when appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner including reporting concerns documenting activity and/or coordinating with site leadership and local responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas entrances corridors parking areas and/or perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
- Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned assisting with directions checking credentials when required and/or observing for policy violations.
- Complete required security-related reports and logs communicate observations during shift changes and follow escalation procedures for medical facility-specific situations such as disturbances elopement concerns and/or restricted area access.
Minimum Requirements:
- Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
- A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.
- Lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
