Quality Assurance Specialist
Pay Rate:$22.40 per hour
Typing Requirement: Minimum 30 WPM typing test required.
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Assurance Specialist to join a high-performing Quality Team. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Supervisor this role is responsible for conducting comprehensive quality reviews across multiple functional areas identifying trends mitigating risk and driving continuous process improvement initiatives.
This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced compliance-driven environments and who bring both operational precision and innovative thinking to quality management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn and maintain a comprehensive understanding of all functional areas to conduct cross-functional quality reviews
- Perform objective concise and documentation-ready quality assessments
- Maintain a monthly quality score of 96 percent or higher
- Maintain an Approved challenge percentage under 5 percent monthly
- Meet productivity benchmarks for each assigned functional area
- Update and maintain the quality monitoring data management system
- Track assessment outcomes and ensure timely corrections are completed
- Identify process trends gaps and recurring issues and recommend actionable solutions
- Assist in implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes controls and performance measures
- Support front-line quality assurance awareness and training initiatives
- Perform administrative support tasks aligned with Quality Team objectives
- Contribute to continuous improvement strategies across departments
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding quality assessments
- Provide cross-departmental support as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- Experience in government services to consumers
- Experience in health and human services
- Public sector healthcare experience preferred
- Medicaid and or CHIP program knowledge highly desirable
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to produce clear concise documentation and presentations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced evolving environment
- High level of confidentiality and professional discretion
- Working knowledge of operational processes and willingness to expand expertise
- Proficiency in MS Word MS Excel and MS Outlook
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Bilingual skills preferred
- Typing speed of at least 30 WPM
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged sitting and computer usage
- Occasional standing walking or light lifting up to 10 pounds
- Close vision and focus adjustment required

- Quiet to moderate noise level

- Overtime may include evenings and occasional weekends
