Education Required:

In process of Bachelors in Electrical Engineering Instrumentation & Control Engineering or a related field.

General Description:

The Control System Automation Intern will support initiatives aimed at enhancing process efficiency across the organization by leveraging automation technologies. This intern will partner with stakeholders to identify and improve automation device functions across the site by utilizing Automation Tools and verify the installation to build a detailed system architecture that will be used as the main reference for the department for troubleshooting and system development.

This role is ideal for a highly curious and analytical individual who enjoys problem-solving and building scalable solutions in a collaborative environment.

Essential Functions of the Job:

Support the development and deployment of automation solutions and tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the operation and installation of equipment and devices
Document technical specifications point to point connections and build a detailed system architecture
Assist with testing debugging and optimization of automated systems
Provide support for internal tools built to drive operational efficiency
(Preferred) Familiarity with tools such as Studio 5000 and TIA Portal.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Computer Skills:

Excel (Advanced)
PowerPoint (Presentation Skills)
Familiarity with Control Systems and Network Technologies
Familiarity with Field Instrument Signals

Other Qualifications:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Effective communicator with ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
