What Youll Do

The Category ManagerMobile Equipment is responsible for developing implementing continuous improvement communicating and executing enterprise-wide sourcing strategies for major/critical spend categories such as heavy equipment construction equipment tires oils & lubes to name a few.

Responsibilities:Work cross-functionally and align business partners (internal and external) to accomplish objectives and achieve organizational goals.

strategic sourcing and continuous improvement principles to sub-categories in the mobile equipment categories supporting the Mobile Strategic Sourcing Manager.

Leverage heavy industry category and supplier knowledge to identify new opportunities.

Standardize and optimize processes where possible identify and present observations and recommendations for improvements to leadership.

Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure programs align with business requirements and are achieving desired impacts.

Ability to travel up to 50% including overnight travel.

Skills Youll Need:Education:Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in the field is required and an advanced degree is desirable.

Experience: Successful 7 year track record in heavy industrial category management sourcing. Experience with key mobile categories is required (i.e. heavy equipment off-road tires oil & lubricants).

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Strong track record working cross-functionally and aligning business partners across the company to accomplish objectives and achieve organizational goals.

Strong knowledge of procurement practices and excellent project management skills are required.

Intermediate-level expertise in analytics negotiations thinking agility stakeholder management communication and financial business acumen.

Ability to work in ambiguous and self-directed projects and initiatives aimed toward driving down the total cost of ownership in these respective areas.
