An exciting opportunity to join the Submarines business as a Portfolio Business Lead. The position reports into the Head of Business Management. The role you will play a critical role in driving key decision making to enable operational efficiency and business performance across our portfolio of programmes in our Submarines Business. This position offers the opportunity to lead cross-functional initiatives optimise our business processes and support the strategic growth of the Submarines Business. With a focus on data-driven decision-making governance and compliance you will work closely with our diverse business units and Functions to deliver value to our customers.

This position will give you a chance to use data analytics to drive financial performance influence strategic decision making and support key stakeholders in a dynamic business environment. As a Portfolio Business Lead you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy of data forecasting business trends and providing insightful analysis to support our business planning and execution.

What you will be doing:

• Accountable for Submarines Manpower KPI metrics and reporting setting and maintaining Manpower Baselines within the DBU/Functions governing forecasting policy and principles.
• Leading Operating Cost Forecasting Process with the Business Management Teams Lead for the 8 Year Rolling forecast process and integration with RR Group 5 Year Planning cycle.
• Support Delivery of Business Management Function Transformation Strategy
• Lead Process Compliance and improvements to BM owned Processes Manage & Record Time Load & Capacity and Commit Accept (CAF)
• Drive Standardisation into BM Reporting and Performance analysis

Position Qualifications

To be successful in this role you need to confidently lead and influence a diverse range of stakeholders and build good networks. Your ability to bring structure to complexity drive alignment and maintain focus on outcomes will be key to your impact.

• Advanced Excel skills would be beneficial
• Strong Power BI Skills would be beneficial
• Understanding of Planning & Project Management techniques
• Business Management Degree or Project Management Qualification
• Good influencing and communication skills

Formore than 60 years Rolls-Royce Submarines has designed supplied and supported the nuclear propulsion plant providing power for all UK Royal Navy nuclear submarines.
