We invite you to join our team to develop and implement technologies that serve both internal and external clients while also providing technical and practice leadership to continually enhance our capabilities and position entails partnering with a cross-functional agile team to develop test launch and refine solutions aimed at optimizing the Group Insurance servicing experience. The responsibilities include designing developing and unit testing code while delivering on the objectives set by business partners. The Lead Technology Specialist must adhere to best practices and guidelines ensuring a comprehensive understanding of objectives requirements and specifications in collaboration with the delivery one of the regions top employers and be part of something that truly makes a Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo ON a minimum of two (2) assigned consecutive days every other week plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum youll do:You will be responsible for designing developing and unit testing code delivers on objectives established by business partners. You will understand and adhere to best practices and guidelines and work with a delivery team to ensure understanding of objectives requirements and the implementation of corporate policies standards and procedures that provide effective architecture governance and hands-on configuration and troubleshooting of hardware and/or application technical leadership for more junior team members oversee solutions to solution implementation to ensure compliance with security and IT Management in handling escalations within a team of Technology others in planning and executing and in so doing gains their be required to complete work outside of normal business hours to meet project deadlines and support weekend implementations may be required to participate in rotating on-call youll bring:7 years of IT experience including 3 years in a senior technology role with multi-domain expertise. Post-secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in computer science computer systems engineering or software engineering. Multiple advanced technical certifications in technologies mentioned in this job description. Strong experience and understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code applied to DevOps/DevSecOps cloud security best practices and well-architected frameworks. At least 7 years of development experience with React C# and SQL including hands-on work with PWAs APIs and Azure services (App Services Durable Functions Pipelines). Hands-on working knowledge of development tools and frameworks such as PowerShell NPM Visual Studio Code Git ReactJS (including Vite & Create-React-App) and design library systems. Minimum 4 years of experience working with Azure infrastructure and services. Hands-on experience and proficiency with Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) technologies. Experience using testing frameworks for both client and server code (e.g. NUnit Selenium). Demonstrated knowledge of responsive web design (mobile/tablet) object-oriented programming practices and grid principles. Experience with agile practices scrum delivery test automation and Azure Pipelines. Experience leading other developers on projects including task and priority setting and collaborating with business partners.
