Professional temporary COUNSELING staff needed to supportSECONDARYstudentswith registration and social emotional needs for the Rochester Community Schools 2026 Summer Learning Program. Applications for these temporary positions will be accepted until filled.
Counselors will be expected to implement innovative instructional techniques that will lead to improved student achievement. Emphasis will be given to higher level thinking skills organizational skills integration of knowledge connecting learning to prior knowledge cooperative learning active participation of the learner and integration of technology. Actual numbers of positions are dependent upon the enrollment.

Session 1: June 16 to June 26
Session II: June 29 to July 9
Session III: online only: July 10- July 21
Hours: 7:25am 2:05 pm
Mandatory Staff Meeting: June 15 Adams Media Center
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Secondary Michigan Teaching Certificate with a counseling endorsement.
- Desire to work with at-risk students.
- Desire to work with students who need to be academically.
SALARY:
$2800 stipend per session contingent on working all dates in the session

Selection of an individual to fill these temporary positions will be determined by the Summer Learning Program administrators based upon applicant experience qualifications and professional attributes.

Due to the high volume of applicants for positions within Rochester Community Schools it is not possible to personally contact every interested candidate.
