Mid-Range: $104000 (approximately 10 years of experience)
Maximum: $116000 (15 years of experience)
Position Summary
A leading acute care hospital in Panama City FL is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager of Emergency Services to oversee daily operations of a high-volume Emergency Department. This role provides leadership operational management and clinical oversight to ensure the delivery of safe efficient and patient-centered emergency care.
The Nurse Manager will collaborate closely with executive leadership physicians and interdisciplinary teams to drive quality outcomes patient satisfaction and departmental performance.
Responsibilities
Provide 24/7 leadership and operational oversight of the Emergency Department
Ensure appropriate staffing levels to support patient acuity and throughput
Monitor and improve clinical quality metrics patient safety indicators and satisfaction scores
Oversee hiring onboarding scheduling evaluations and staff development
Manage departmental budgets productivity and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
Foster strong physician and interdisciplinary collaboration
Lead performance improvement initiatives using data-driven decision-making
Promote a culture of accountability teamwork and professional growth
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Nursing (required)
Masters Degree in Nursing Healthcare Administration or related field (preferred)
Active Florida RN license (or compact eligibility)
Minimum 23 years of progressive nursing leadership experience
Emergency Department leadership experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of emergency services operations and patient flow management
