Job Summary
We are seeking an entry-level Systems Administrator to support LAN/WAN and server environments for Department of Defense (DoD) applications. This role involves assisting with system maintenance patching account management and troubleshooting to ensure secure and reliable operations.
This position is contingent upon funding.
Perform basic installation configuration and maintenance of LAN/WAN and server environments
Execute routine system patching and updates
Manage user accounts and permissions
Provide entry-level troubleshooting and technical support
Maintain system documentation change-control records and incident reports
Support security compliance by applying patches managing endpoint protection and performing routine backups
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Cybersecurity Data Science Information Systems Computer Science or related field (or Associate degree with four years of experience or six years of equivalent experience)
Active DoD Top Secret clearance (or higher) with Top Secret/SCI eligibility
Less than three years of experience performing basic system administration duties
One of the following certifications (or equivalent DoD baseline certification):
CompTIA A
CompTIA Network
CompTIA Security
CND
GSEC
Proficiency with Windows Server (Active Directory DNS DHCP)
Basic Linux administration experience (RHEL Ubuntu)
Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi or Hyper-V
Ability to provision and manage virtual machines
Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds PRTG)
Experience using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow
Strong documentation and communication skills
U.S. Citizenship required
Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
Domestic travel up to 10% annually (approximately two weeks per year)
Limited international travel (less than 5%) as required for coordination and clearance approval
