Jackie Cooper Imports of Tulsa is accepting applications for a Payroll/HR Administrator position. Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
This hybrid position is responsible for supporting the payroll function for Jackie Cooper Imports by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll as well as basic HR administration of insurance and other benefits for all employees across various dealerships. This role requires attention to detail excellent organizational skills and a deep understanding of payroll processes benefits administration and applicable employment laws. The Payroll/HR Administrator will work closely with the Controller to manage and ensure compliance with payroll policies and procedures as well as provide essential administrative support to the corporate HR department acting as the first point of contact for employee queries.
Responsibilities Include:
- Accurately and timely process bi-weekly semi-monthly and monthly payroll cycles.
- Compile payroll data such as hours worked sales volumes bonuses and commissions from time sheets and other records.
- Review for accuracy timesheets bonus sheets and other documentation submitted by management for use in processing payroll.
- Review for accuracy all ADP Tax Service reports regarding Federal and State withholding tax once pay cycles are complete. Verify that amounts on reports tie with general ledger tax liability accounts ADP payroll reports and amounts that appear on online banking reports. Report any variances to controller.
- Issue on-demand checks for garnishments and 401K contributions as necessary.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual payroll tax filings ensuring compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
- Handle employee benefits queries manage personnel records and onboarding/offboarding.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED or combination of education and experience
- ADP & Paycom experience preferred
- Strong computer skills
- Automotive accounting & CDK experience a plus
- Strong organizational administrative and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Able to communicate effectively with internal team members managers and corporate staff
